Every year there are about twenty books you mean to read, and then somehow thirty more appear. 2025 had Adichie ending a twelve-year silence, Collins back in Panem, Atwood at eighty-five calling something a memoir of sorts, and David Szalay winning the Booker for a book most people had been meaning to read since 2016.
